The specific gravity is accurate +/- 0.002 within the Tilt's range of 0.990 to 1.120.

The temperature range of the Tilt is 0°F to 185°F (-17.8°C to 85°C) The thermometer is accurate +/- 1 degree F (+/- 0.5 degree C).

Battery (CR123A 3-volt, non-rechargeable battery). LiFePO4 rechargeable will work but are lighter and require multipoint calibration, other rechargeable will not (voltage too high).

The device is 3-5/8" (9.20 cm) long by 1-1/8" (2.86 cm) in diameter. It is designed to fit in a typical 5 gallon glass carboy.
